Trump Media moves $342 million in bitcoin to Crypto.com, blockchain data show - CoinDesk
Trump Media & Technology Group transferred about 4,259 bitcoin, worth roughly $342 million, to Crypto.com, according to blockchain data from Arkham.
The transfers occurred in two nearly equal-sized batches of 2,140.03 BTC and 2,119.31 BTC at 02:17 UTC on November 4, 2026. The coins moved from addresses labeled "2028 Convertible Notes Collateral" to an address reportedly owned by Crypto.com. The timing is notable as the company faces a potential $1 billion cash-repayment provision on November 30.
Collateral transfer
The transferred bitcoin represents about 30% of the roughly 14,139 BTC Trump Media said it held, including pledged coins, as of July 31. However, this figure is from an older disclosure and doesn't prove the company's bitcoin holdings have decreased. The company's second-quarter filing had indicated 4,260.73 BTC was being used as collateral for convertible notes as of June 30, with withdrawals restricted under the loan agreement.
Market reaction
The large transfer has drawn market attention, with blockchain data tracking services noting that onchain movement doesn't necessarily indicate a sale. "For now, a transfer to an exchange or custodian doesn't automatically mean the Bitcoin is being sold. Could be a custody move or something else entirely," EyeOnChain observed.
Still, $343M worth of #BTC moving is not something the market will ignore.
Previous transactions
Trump Media has previously moved significant amounts of bitcoin to Crypto.com without selling them. In May 2026, the company transferred about 2,650 BTC ($205 million) to the platform for trading purposes, and in early August 2026, another 2,628 BTC ($165 million) was moved for custody management. Crypto.com has served as one of Trump Media's custody partners since it launched its bitcoin treasury strategy.
