Circle beats Q3 estimates as Arc mainnet goes live with 100+ partners
Circle reported Q3 2026 revenue of $865 million, exceeding analyst estimates of approximately $788 million, while launching its Arc blockchain with over 100 institutional partners including BlackRock and Visa.
Circle, the USDC issuer traded on NYSE under ticker CRCL, announced strong Q3 2026 financial results alongside the launch of its Arc blockchain. The company reported $865 million in revenue and $317 million in adjusted EBITDA, surpassing analyst projections of approximately $788 million. Circle also affirmed its fiscal 2026 guidance with these results.
Revenue sources
The quarter's performance was bolstered by two key revenue streams. Traditional income came from yields on reserves backing USDC, Circle's dollar-pegged stablecoin with approximately $73-74 billion in circulation. Additionally, Circle generated substantial revenue from the presale of ARC tokens, the native asset of its Arc blockchain ecosystem, which raised around $222 million at a $3 billion valuation.
Arc mainnet launch
Arc's public mainnet launched on September 16, 2026, with over 100 institutional partners including BlackRock, the DTCC, and Visa. The network features a distinctive fee structure where transactions are paid in USDC rather than a separate volatile token. Circle is positioning Arc around tokenized finance and cross-border payments, aiming to bridge on-chain financial activity with traditional fiat transactions.
The launch included a genesis mint of 10 billion ARC tokens, marking a strategic shift for Circle from simply issuing USDC to owning blockchain infrastructure where USDC serves as the gas token.
Future outlook
While ARC token presale provides new revenue, it's a launch-period event. Reserve income remains crucial, though facing ongoing pressure. Arc's built-in USDC demand could support circulation over time. Investors should watch USDC circulation levels, Arc's transaction volume, and whether Circle's reserve margins stabilize as the token begins trading openly.
