PrimeXBT, a broker offering CFDs and crypto futures, has opened client accounts to ChatGPT and Claude through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing AI assistants to prepare trades that require trader approval.

The assistants show estimated fees, margin and the liquidation level before anything reaches the market. Withdrawals stay off-limits, while a separate API opens the same accounts to traders' own bots. PrimeXBT, a broker offering CFDs and crypto futures, today (Wednesday) opened client accounts to ChatGPT and Claude through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

The assistants can prepare market, limit and stop orders. Each one runs only after the trader confirms it, the broker said. Before that click, the assistant shows the estimated price, fees, margin, leverage and liquidation level of the trade. It cannot withdraw or move funds.

At least six brokers and trading-technology firms have let AI assistants work inside client accounts since June, FinanceMagnates.com reporting shows. Among them, Interactive Brokers widened its AI connector to almost any MCP-based tool in July. London's trading industry is coming home!

Trader Approval Process

Clients connect an assistant with one link and their PrimeXBT login, with no code or API keys. Access comes in two settings, Read-only and Read & Trade. Brokers that let AI assistants handle orders keep a human approval step in some form. They differ in what the client sees at that moment.

Leverate's MCP for Traders restates size, price, stops and margin impact before asking for a yes, while Capital.com's server for Middle East and North Africa clients previews each trade and asks for a two-step confirmation.

The other two set the bar at opposite ends: at Interactive Brokers, Claude only drafts an instruction that the client turns into an order, and Axi clients can switch an action to always allow, after which Claude stops asking. None of those four launches, as FinanceMagnates.com reported them, put an estimated liquidation level in the preview.

Crypto Futures and API Access

Crypto Futures and a Separate API for Bots. Jonatan Randin, senior market analyst at PrimeXBT, said the MCP brings 'real trading data and functionality into the AI assistants people already know and use.'

The integration works on demo and live accounts on PXTrader 2.0, the broker's own platform. It covers CFDs and crypto futures, a lineup that grew by 101 coins in September 2025. Answers on costs, margin requirements and platform rules draw on live account data and PrimeXBT's knowledge base, the broker said.

In January it gathered its research tools into one feature called Discover. The broker also launched a Trading API for algorithmic and quantitative traders who want to plug in their own bots and dashboards. It handles orders and positions behind two-factor authentication and optional IP restrictions.

Like the MCP, the API cannot move money, the same limit ThinkMarkets set when it let AI execute orders on its ThinkTrader platform in June. PrimeXBT has operated since 2018 and says it serves traders in more than 150 countries, offering forex, index, commodity, share and crypto CFDs on PXTrader 2.0 and MetaTrader 5.
