Autonomous underwater mine-countermeasure system developed by Thales and Arkeocean - Military Embedded Systems
French companies Thales and Arkeocean have partnered to create an autonomous underwater mine-countermeasure system combining Arkeocean's M Platform vehicle with Thales warhead technology.
The collaboration was announced in a statement by Thales, with the system designed to support the detect, classify, identify, and neutralize sequence for mine-countermeasure missions. The M Platform features a modular architecture with interchangeable mission payloads, making it versatile for various underwater operations.
Warhead Integration
For mine-countermeasure missions, Thales plans to integrate its S-HEB warhead from the BlueSliver family to enable mine neutralization capabilities. The compact system is being developed as part of Thales' Expeditionary PathMaster open-architecture approach.
The companies say the compact system is intended for deployment from small tactical boats and operation in environments including inland waterways.
