Bullish taps Ethereum as a launch partner for issuer-sponsored tokenized shares

The NYSE-listed platform named Ethereum alongside Solana and Aptos as initial networks for its tokenized equity services. Bullish, an institution-focused digital asset platform, will offer tokenized equity services that companies themselves sponsor, with ownership records maintained through Equiniti, the transfer agent Bullish works with.

The partnership announcement followed a showcase at the New York Stock Exchange on October 27, where CEO Tom Farley demonstrated the transfer of 61 million tokenized Bullish shares on Solana, completing the process in seconds.

Building Momentum

Bullish has been developing this tokenization ecosystem throughout 2026. In May, it became the first NYSE-listed company to fully tokenize its equity cap table on Solana. In August, it launched live trading of its tokenized BLSH shares on its regulated exchange in Gibraltar.

On September 24, the Issuer Sponsored Token Coalition was formed with multiple partners to standardize how tokenized shares link to official shareholder registers. Bullish is working toward acquiring Equiniti in a deal valued at $4.2 billion, expected to close in January 2027.

Network Flexibility

Solana has been Bullish's home base for tokenization work so far, hosting every major milestone. Adding Ethereum and Aptos signals that Bullish wants its services to be network-flexible, allowing companies to avoid being locked into a single blockchain.

For public companies, Bullish is pitching a path to tokenize shares without breaking the connection to their shareholders. The $4.2 billion acquisition of Equiniti introduces timeline risk, as the deal still needs to close. Solana maintains its head start, while Ethereum and Aptos now get a chance to demonstrate their capabilities.
