Intel Moves Select Core Ultra 200H and 200U CPUs to Embedded Market - TechPowerUp
Intel is transitioning select Core Ultra 200H and 200U processors from consumer to embedded market, with final shipments ending November 19, 2027.
The company's latest Product Change Notice (PCN) document reveals that mobile Arrow Lake-H and Arrow Lake-U processors, branded under Core Ultra 200H and 200U, will no longer be available for consumer products. Instead, Intel plans to transition these specific SKUs to the embedded sector, where they'll continue under different licensing agreements.
The affected processors include the Core Ultra 5 235H, Core Ultra 5 225U, Core Ultra 5 235U, Core Ultra 7 255U, Core Ultra 5 225H, Core Ultra 7 265U, Core Ultra 7 255H, Core Ultra 7 265H, and Core Ultra 9 285H. For laptop manufacturers, Intel has set May 21, 2027, as the deadline for final orders, with last shipments scheduled for November 19, 2027.
Embedded Transition
Intel explained that these SKUs are moving to its embedded segment, which operates under separate agreements and rules. All processors purchased before November 2027 will remain under commercial use licensing terms, but this will change after that date.
The Intel Embedded Architecture terms, conditions, and pricing will apply to all customers after the last shipment date. This transition affects customers purchasing for networking, edge computing, industrial, storage, communications, and embedded applications.
