NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 50-Series 'Blackwell' gaming graphics cards will see significant price hikes this week due to high demand outstripping supply.

According to Chinese ChannelGate, add-in card (AIC) partners have confirmed the price increases, with some major partners like Colorful and Galax already sharing information about these adjustments. The most significant hike will affect the GeForce RTX 5090 DV2, which will see an increase of up to 3,300 RMB, nearly $500.

Price Adjustments

Even entry-level GPUs are not exempt, as the GeForce RTX 5060 is expected to see around a $30 price increase on existing models. These changes will be implemented this week for retail partners, though consumer prices might take a week or two to reflect the new listing prices.

The price hikes in China are expected to be the norm globally, with the RTX 5080 seeing increases of 2500-2800 RMB ($374-$419), and the RTX 5070 Ti at 1000 RMB ($150). Lower-end models like the RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB will see smaller increases of 100-150 RMB ($15-$22).

Market Context

Other series from NVIDIA, as well as AMD and Intel GPUs, are not affected by this immediate price hike. However, AMD's Radeon graphics cards are expected to see another price increase this month. The main factors behind these price hikes are the tight memory supply and the significant rise in the cost of raw materials, such as copper, used in production.
