Binance begins second withdrawal phase following record hack
Binance has begun a second phase of cryptocurrency withdrawals on Tuesday, following a record-breaking $6.3 billion hack last week.
The exchange resumed withdrawals for additional assets on Tuesday, starting at 04:00 UTC, as it completes security checks.
This second phase includes major networks like Ethereum and Solana, with deposits still available.
The move aims to restore normal operations after the massive security breach.
Gradual rollout and asset prioritization
Withdrawals will roll out progressively across the assets as security and readiness checks are completed.
Like phase one, reopening will roll out progressively across the assets as security and readiness checks are completed.
Binance is prioritizing tokens based on user demand over the past week.
The exchange has not yet specified which assets will be available in this phase.
Networks included in second phase
The second phase of withdrawals includes Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, XRP Ledger, Sui, Arbitrum, Optimism, Tron and Base.
This list follows the initial reopening on Nov. 1, which covered a different set of assets.
The exchange continues to monitor the situation and may adjust the schedule as needed.
