JFD Brokers Hires Yossi Gafni as VP of Sales, Signalling Second Act
JFD Brokers has appointed 20-year industry veteran Yossi Gafni as Vice President of Sales, signaling a strategic pivot just four months after selling its core European client book to GBE Brokers.
The broker, which continues to hold a CySEC license, has also recently hired Antonis Monogios from NAGA as Head of Dealing. This aggressive restructuring suggests JFD is not winding down operations but rather actively restaffing its leadership team for a new strategic direction.
Strategic Rebuild
In April, JFD executed a major asset deal transferring its core European book to GBE Brokers. The appointment of Gafni, who brings deep operational expertise to this rebuild, indicates a calculated second act for the brokerage.
By filling two critical director-level seats in rapid succession, JFD Brokers appears to be actively laying the groundwork for a highly calculated second act.
Industry Veteran's Experience
Gafni's career spans two decades in the financial industry, having served as Head of Sales for AvaTrade (then AvaFX) from 2005 to 2008, followed by a six-year tenure as VP of Sales at FXCM.
After subsequent leadership stints at Anyoption and EuropeFX, his career recently pivoted toward emerging markets and trading technology, most recently serving as CEO of turnkey prop and brokerage tech provider Wintrado.
Tech-Side Experience
Gafni's recent role at Wintrado might signal that the broker is looking to explore tech-side experience for a prop trading or hybrid model. This direction could differentiate JFD in an increasingly competitive brokerage landscape.
The recent hiring of Antonis Monogios as Head of Dealing just last month further strengthens JFD's leadership team. Monogios previously served as Naga's Head of Dealing, bringing additional expertise to the brokerage's operational structure.
