RLUSD supply fell 29% on XRPL. One XRP trading pool barely changed
The reported supply of RLUSD stablecoin on the XRP Ledger fell by nearly 29% between October 29 and October 31, 2026, while a sampled XRP/RLUSD trading pool showed minimal changes.
According to DefiLlama's October 31 data, RLUSD's supply on the XRP Ledger stood at 707 million tokens, reflecting a 28.7% decrease over a one-day window. However, observations from NOSHASHI revealed that the XRP/RLUSD automated market maker (AMM) pool maintained relatively stable reserves during the same period.
The pool's XRP balance decreased by less than 1% between October 29 and October 31, while its RLUSD balance actually increased slightly. At the later observation, the pool contained approximately 1.87 million XRP and 2.34 million RLUSD.
Trading pool vs. supply dashboard
This discrepancy matters for XRP holders considering trading into Ripple's dollar stablecoin. The AMM pool's actual balances are more critical for traders than RLUSD sitting elsewhere on the ledger, as XRP committed directly in such pools affects trading execution.
A larger pool generally absorbs a given trade with less movement in its exchange rate.
Order book shows mixed signals
The order book presented different pictures for each trading direction. For XRP sellers looking to receive RLUSD, funded offers increased from 62,952.98 RLUSD on October 29 to 112,162.55 RLUSD by October 31. Conversely, for RLUSD sellers seeking XRP, funded offers declined from 71,292.22 RLUSD to 40,870.63 RLUSD before partially recovering to 59,593.01 RLUSD.
A fixed-size estimate at ledger 108023839 showed that buying 10,000 RLUSD would cost 8,033.58 XRP (0.14% above reference mid), while selling 10,000 RLUSD would return 8,015.85 XRP (0.08% below mid).
