Costco's UK branch is offering a pre-built gaming PC with a GeForce RTX 5080 for £2199.99, priced similarly to a standalone graphics card.
A pre-assembled CyberPower gaming system unit (model CW20006) has been listed at Costco's Coventry branch in the UK. The computer is priced at £2199.99 excluding VAT, which is significantly less than the current retail price of a standalone GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card that exceeds $2500 (£1866) on international marketplaces like Newegg.
Similar pre-assembled configurations from specialist retailers like Scan currently cost approximately £1000 more, making Costco's offering particularly attractive for UK gaming enthusiasts seeking high-performance systems with official two-year warranty and free technical support.
High-end specifications
The hardware configuration includes AMD's latest eight-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with expanded 3D V-Cache memory and NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card featuring 16GB of GDDR7 memory. The system also includes liquid cooling with a 360mm radiator, four 120mm ARGB case fans, 32GB of DDR5 RGB RAM, and a 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD with Windows 11 Home.
The motherboard features integrated Wi-Fi 7 and offers extensive connectivity including HDMI, three DisplayPort ports, multiple USB Type-A ports (both 10Gbps and 5Gbps), and one USB-C port with 20Gbps throughput, powered by an 850W power supply.
Market shift
Community members have noted that building a PC from separate components has become significantly more expensive than buying ready-made systems at Costco, particularly with rising prices for RAM, storage, and graphics cards.
