Obol World sends 80% of revenue to buybacks and burns, launches API for bots
Obol World has launched its $OBOL API allowing external apps to launch and trade coins, while committing 80% of protocol revenue to token buybacks and burns.
The API went live on November 1, 2026, enabling external applications, trading bots, and automated agents to directly access Obol World's launchpad. Developers receive free API keys, and transactions utilize self-custodial wallet signing, meaning users maintain control of their funds while the platform handles the technical infrastructure.
Revenue Commitment
Under the new framework, 80% of revenue from both the $OBOL token and the protocol will be used to purchase tokens on the open market and burn them. The remaining 20% is allocated for liquidity, infrastructure, and growth. As of October 31, 2026, Obol World had already repurchased approximately 2.67 million $OBOL tokens through buybacks.
The project made two moves at once. It opened the door to anyone with a bot, and it promised to put most of the money that comes through that door back into its own token.
Flexible Fee Structure
The platform offers launched coins flexibility in fee distribution. Each coin can choose to send fees to holders, creators, or into perpetual futures positions on Hyperliquid. Perpetual futures are derivative contracts with no expiry date that allow traders to bet on price movements using leverage.
Differentiating Obol Projects
The crypto space now contains two distinct projects using the $OBOL ticker. The Obol Collective focuses on Ethereum distributed validators, splitting validator responsibilities across multiple machines to prevent single points of failure. In contrast, Obol World serves as a coin launchpad and trading platform with a revenue model centered on market buybacks rather than staking infrastructure.
