RTX 5080 removed from official Nvidia store as rumored 24GB model supposedly arrives in a couple of months - PC Guide
Nvidia has removed the RTX 5080 from its official US marketplace, with rumors suggesting an upgraded 24GB variant will arrive in late 2026 or early 2027.
Eagle-eyed Nvidia fans have noticed that the RTX 5080 is no longer listed on the official Nvidia Marketplace. Founders Edition models have long been out of stock, leaving customers to settle for a (more expensive) third-party model. However, even those have now disappeared, so the most powerful GPU you can currently buy via the Nvidia store is the 16GB RTX 5070 Ti.
China-specific changes
According to prominent Chinese leaker ChannelGate, Nvidia will soon discontinue the China-specific RTX 5090D v2 (which comes with 24GB of GDDR7 VRAM, rather than the full 32GB), and along with it, the 16GB RTX 5080. They suggest a 24GB version of the RTX 5080 serves as a replacement for both cards in the region.

Global implications
There's no word on whether the same launch is happening outside of China, but the fact that the official Nvidia Marketplace in the United States has completely delisted both the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 feels like a telling sign. That being said, we noticed they're still listed on the UK marketplace, albeit with little to no stock, as users are prompted to check the availability of each and every graphics card.
