Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang may have been the target of a spy plot through 'Chinese intelligence asset,' report claims — exec from firm under investigation for smuggling banned AI chips to China accused of being a spy, was also feeding information to Beijing
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang may have been targeted in a spy plot through a Chinese intelligence asset, according to a new report.
Multiple sources claim that Alice Huang, a senior executive at an Nvidia cloud partner who has close ties with Jensen Huang, is suspected of passing information to Beijing as a Chinese intelligence asset. The executive is reportedly from a Singapore AI firm under investigation for smuggling banned AI chips to China.
According to The New York Times, U.S. intelligence has been aware of her activities for over a year and has even briefed President Donald Trump on the situation. However, Trump reportedly chose not to act, apparently not wanting to affect Nvidia sales or antagonize China.
Spy Plot Details
The alleged spy plot involves an executive with direct business connections to Jensen Huang, potentially compromising sensitive information at the chipmaker. The situation raises significant concerns about corporate espionage targeting U.S. technology companies.
