Securitize adds Stellar blockchain as institutional tokenization gathers steam - Cryptonews.net
Securitize has added Stellar blockchain to its list of supported platforms for converting real-world assets into tradable tokens.
The company, known for issuing and managing BlackRock's BUIDL tokenized money-market fund, now supports four blockchains.
Stellar's capabilities
Stellar is recognized for its speed and scalability, allowing decentralized assets to be configured for KYC, clawbacks and sanctions compliance. Franklin Templeton already operates a tokenized money market fund on Stellar, while MoneyGram uses the network for daily money transfers.
The Stellar network has built the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets, which speaks to the strength of its network and the growing institutional demand for tokenization.
Stellar's market position
Founded in 2017, Stellar went public on the New York Stock Exchange in July, simultaneously listing its own stock on Solana and Avalanche. The shares reached $13.70 on their first trading day before closing at $xx.xx on Tuesday.
