ZOTAC Puts The RTX 5090 Up For Sale At $7500 In Japan, Even As Board Partners Say They Can No Longer Buy The GB202 Chip - Wccftech
ZOTAC has listed the GeForce RTX 5090 SOLID OC for sale in Japan at approximately $7,535, despite reports suggesting NVIDIA has discontinued the flagship GPU.
Popular leaker @momomo_us discovered the listing on ZOTAC's Japanese online store, where the GeForce RTX 5090 SOLID OC is priced at 1,190,000 Yen, including tax. The page allows customers to add the GPU to cart and complete payment through the store or Amazon Pay, with a limit of one GPU per purchase due to limited inventory.
Discontinuation Confusion
The RTX 5090's market position remains uncertain. While vendors and independent reports confirm NVIDIA has discontinued the GPU, the company maintains it is still shipping the card. Some vendors have recently reported they can no longer purchase the GB202 chip with 32 GB GDDR7 memory.
Global Availability
The ZOTAC card appears to be in stock at various Indian retailers at over INR 900,000 (approximately US$9,400+). However, most RTX 5090 models from other vendors remain out of stock at major US retailers. This suggests ZOTAC may have secured some GPU-memory bundles before production ceased.
