Ripple's Garlinghouse Meets Bessent at Swell
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent appeared together at Ripple's Swell 2026 conference in New York City, drawing significant attention from the XRP community.
Bessent was added to Swell's speaker lineup shortly before the event, where he has emerged as a vocal supporter of establishing a comprehensive regulatory framework for digital assets. The Treasury Secretary has repeatedly urged Congress to advance the CLARITY Act, arguing that clearer rules would help maintain the U.S. competitive position in the cryptocurrency industry.
