Nvidia to invest $3bn in Meta’s $97.5bn equity offering, as social media giant plans to deploy more Nvidia hardware
Nvidia will invest $3 billion in Meta's expanded $97.5 billion equity offering, as the companies collaborate on AI agent development and hardware deployment.
The investment is part of an expanded partnership focused on Meta's Muse family of AI agents. The companies will collaborate on workflow optimizations to boost inference and training performance while improving total cost of ownership.
Under the agreement, Meta will expand its deployment of Nvidia hardware, including Vera Rubin and Vera CPUs, Spectrum-X Ethernet networking technology, and BlueField-4 DPUs. The partnership also explores collaboration around Nvidia's OpenShell and Sentry offerings for safe AI agent deployment.
Meta's Equity Expansion
The news follows Meta's October 26 announcement raising its planned equity offering to $97.5 billion. Of this total, $25 billion will come from common stock, with an additional $12.5 billion from 250 million convertible preferred depositary shares at $50 each.
Muse AI Agents
Meta introduced its Muse AI agent in September 2026, described as a personal AI that "proactively helps with people's goals and suggests ideas." The agent runs on a dedicated virtual hosting both the agent and user data.
AI agents represent a new computing paradigm — software that understands our goals, reasons, uses tools and gets work done on our behalf.
While initially introduced through the consumer-focused Charm device, Meta has also debuted a Muse version for small and medium businesses, incorporating tools like Dropbox, Slack, and Zoom into its agentic workflow.
