Katalyst, a managed services provider backed by e4n Group, has acquired Bluetowne, a cybersecurity and infrastructure firm based in South Carolina.

The acquisition represents another milestone in Katalyst's accelerated growth since partnering with e4n Group in May 2026. It follows Katalyst's acquisition of Layer27 in July, making this the company's second acquisition in just three months.

Bluetowne brings deep engineering expertise across cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure, along with established client relationships in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) and renewable energy sectors. The deal also expands Katalyst's presence in the Charleston market.

Strategic Expansion

Eric Hartley, CEO of Bluetowne, will join Katalyst to help drive strategic services and build out vertical practices. Bluetowne clients will continue working with their trusted team, now backed by broader technical expertise and an expanded service portfolio.

Together, the companies aim to help mid-market businesses in AEC and renewable energy address industry-specific technology challenges by combining Bluetowne's sector expertise with Katalyst's broader capabilities in cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and practical AI.

Welcoming Eric and the Bluetowne team is an exciting step forward for Katalyst. Their technical expertise, strong client relationships, and commitment to service are a natural fit with our organization.

Luke Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Katalyst

Shared Vision

The acquisition reflects the strategy shared by Katalyst and e4n Group: combining organic growth with disciplined acquisitions that add complementary capabilities, talented people, and long-term value for clients.

Bluetowne embodies what we look for in a business: strong leadership, outstanding technical talent, and deep client trust. Its expertise in fast-growing sectors such as AEC and renewable energy brings an important new dimension to Katalyst.

Hervé Tessler, Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO of e4n Group

Bluetowne, founded in 2001, has built its reputation through technical expertise, accountability, and exceptional service, particularly serving clients in demanding environments including AEC and renewable energy.
