Katalyst, a managed services provider backed by e4n Group, has acquired Bluetowne, a cybersecurity and cloud services provider based in South Carolina.

The acquisition marks another milestone in Katalyst's accelerated growth since partnering with e4n Group in May 2026. It is Katalyst's second acquisition in just three months, following Layer27 in July. Bluetowne brings deep engineering expertise across cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure, along with long-standing client relationships in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) and renewable energy sectors.

Expanded Market Presence

The acquisition also expands Katalyst's presence in the Charleston market. Eric Hartley, CEO of Bluetowne, joins Katalyst to help drive strategic services and build out vertical practices. Bluetowne clients will continue working with their trusted team, now backed by broader technical expertise and an expanded portfolio of services.

Welcoming Eric and the Bluetowne team is an exciting step forward for Katalyst. Their technical expertise, strong client relationships, and commitment to service are a natural fit with our organization.

Sector-Specific Expertise

Together, Katalyst and Bluetowne will help mid-market businesses in AEC and renewable energy address industry-specific technology challenges by combining sector expertise with broader cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and practical AI capabilities. The acquisition reflects the strategy Katalyst and e4n Group share: combining organic growth with disciplined acquisitions that add complementary capabilities and long-term value.

For 25 years, we have built lasting client relationships through technical expertise, accountability, and exceptional service. In Katalyst, we found a partner that shares those same values and our people-first approach.

Strategic Growth Strategy

Founded in 2001, Bluetowne delivers cybersecurity, IT automation, cloud, networking, data center, and managed IT services to clients in demanding environments. The acquisition aligns with e4n Group's focus on building the next generation of managed services providers in the U.S. mid-market through acquisitions and investments in talent, cybersecurity, and AI.

Katalyst, as a Digital Operations Partner for mid-market organizations, takes accountability for clients' digital backbone, including hybrid infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud environments. The company aims to help organizations connect their people, protect their data, and keep critical systems running with confidence.
