Solana tokenized equities hit 1.5 million holders, per Solana; Crypto.news counts addresses, not unique investors - The Cryptonomist
Solana's tokenized equities reached a record 1.5 million holders on October 26, 2026, a fivefold increase since August, according to a post from Solana.
Crypto.news, citing Blockworks, notes that the holder count measures addresses rather than distinct investors, with trading incentives contributing to the rise. This follows another milestone in September when the Solana Foundation reported 1 million wallets holding tokenized stocks.
Rapid Growth
Another 500,000 addresses have joined the holder count since September. According to Crypto.news, citing Blockworks, the metric counts addresses containing tokenized equity products, meaning an investor using several wallets can appear more than once.
Rewards also contributed to participation. Between August 3 and October 11, 2026, incentive programs distributed approximately $31 million in stock tokens across more than 360,000 wallets.
Trading Activity
September trading volume totaled roughly $4.4 billion, while outstanding tokenized equities were valued at $684 million. Between September 1 and October 11, 2026, trading pairs combining memecoins with tokenized stocks accounted for $1.76 billion in volume, representing 31.5% of total tokenized equity decentralized exchange activity.
Market Impact
Solana supports tokenized stock products through infrastructure designed for fast, low-cost transactions. According to Securitize, qualifying investors can now trade 12 tokenized U.S. stocks on Solana, including Apple, Nvidia, Tesla and Microsoft.
Notably, growth in Solana's tokenized equities doesn't translate directly into increased demand for SOL. Many platforms allow investors to purchase stock tokens with stablecoins rather than buying the network's native token, though SOL remains necessary for transaction fees.
