Korean, Japanese Cybersecurity Firms Explore Cooperation - THE ELEC, Korea Electronics Industry Media
The Korea Information Security Industry Association (KISIA) held Security Connect Tokyo 2026 in Tokyo on October 23, bringing together Korean and Japanese cybersecurity companies to explore potential partnerships.
The event was jointly organized with the Tokyo IT Support Center of KOTRA during Japan IT Week Autumn, a major Japanese IT exhibition. During the seminar session, Japanese companies TOPPAN and OTSUKA Corporation delivered presentations on global trust-based security and supply chain security, while three Korean companies—Penta Security, PIOLINK and S2W—showcased their security technologies and solutions.
Business Meetings
During the networking session, Korean companies held business meetings with Japanese counterparts and industry representatives to discuss potential local partnerships, business cooperation and technology exchanges. KISIA is also operating the K-Security Startup Japan Market Development Delegation from October 20 to 23 to help Korean security startups enter the Japanese market.
We hope this event will help Korean information security companies better understand market trends and demand in Japan and establish meaningful partnerships with local companies.
Market Expansion
We will support expanded joint proof-of-concept (PoC) projects and local partnerships between Korean and Japanese companies to generate tangible export results.
Delegation members are participating in and visiting the exhibition to assess Japanese market trends and local companies' technology and business developments, while gaining networking opportunities with Japanese industry representatives. KOTRA's Japan regional headquarters head expressed commitment to supporting expanded joint proof-of-concept projects and local partnerships between Korean and Japanese companies to generate tangible export results.
