Solana, Tether, and XRP Ledger Drive New Wave of Asset Tokenization - Cryptonews.net
Capital in the real-world asset tokenization sector shifted to alternative blockchains during October 18-25, 2026, with Solana attracting $453.5 million, 73% of total inflows into the top 10 blockchains.
A joint report by RWA Foundation and Token Terminal recorded a local redistribution of capital in the real-world asset (RWA) tokenization sector during October 18-25, 2026. While Ethereum infrastructure saw declining volumes, funds and new investors shifted toward alternative blockchains, with Solana emerging as the primary beneficiary.
Solana attracted $453.5 million, representing 73% of the total inflow into the top 10 blockchains. Its closest competitor, Stellar, added $124.5 million, while XRP Ledger entered the top 10 with more modest results of $131,000.
Tokenized Stocks Shift
The tokenized stocks market experienced significant changes, with Ethereum losing $26.0 million in market capitalization. This liquidity flowed primarily to BNB Chain (+$135.9 million) and Solana (+$55.8 million). Solana also led in growth of stockholder addresses, adding 114,600 wallets in seven days.
Binance's retail products dominated the segment's monetary growth, with bStocks (+$127.8 million) and xStocks (+$73.4 million) accumulating almost 94% of the total monetary growth in the tokenized stocks market.
Stablecoin Market Division
The stablecoin market showed a clear division between issuance volumes and user expansion pace. Paxos led in capital inflow, with its capitalization growing by $249.8 million (65% of the top 10 issuers' growth), primarily through Arc and Solana networks.
The data of the reporting week confirms that local liquidity flows in the RWA sector are now strictly tied to two factors: capital and new users choose either issuers with the maximum supply volume or blockchain platforms capable of providing the lowest transaction costs.
Institutional Investments
Institutional capital in the tokenized funds segment demonstrated stable inflows, with financial giants Franklin Templeton (+$33.9 million) and J.P. Morgan (+$33.6 million) providing almost half of the weekly growth. The independent fund Spiko led in pace of attracting investors, adding 491 new addresses.
Tether dominated user base expansion, providing 90% of the total inflow of new addresses among the top 10 issuers—1.7 million new wallets in a week. BNB Chain served as the main infrastructure hub for these transactions, adding 1.3 million addresses.
