Former Unit 8200 Officers Raise $34 Million for Agentic SecOps Startup Mave
Tel Aviv-based cybersecurity startup Mave has raised $34 million in funding to develop AI-powered security operations solutions.
The funding announced on October 22, 2026 comprises $6 million seed funding and a new $28 million Series A round led by Red Dot Capital Partners, with participation from Lumir Growth Partners. Dell Technologies Capital and Emerge Ventures, who led Mave's seed round, also participated in the Series A.
AI Security Challenge
Mave employs AI to solve problems created by AI. Adversarial use of AI has dramatically increased attack speeds, while internal AI generates useful data that could counter these attacks—if security teams could process it quickly enough.
Enterprise security teams are overwhelmed by huge amounts of data and dozens of security tools, and still cannot respond fast enough when a real incident occurs.
Agentic Defense System
Mave's solution uses AI agents to create automated SecOps with a single agentic defense system. It pulls live context from existing security stacks and uses fine-tuned SLMs and frontier LLMs to generate context-based reasoning in near real time.
The company currently avoids end-to-end automation, focusing instead on governed models with approval gates and full audit trails. Security operations is where we start, but the goal is to make AI a responsible part of enterprise protection.
Market Impact
Mave's technology will reduce alert fatigue and lower operational costs by automating many human tasks. This reflects a broader trend in cybersecurity as AI increasingly replaces human analysts, though it also reduces available positions in the field.
