Ronin Waypoint wallet shuts down for good after Oct. 31 grace period - eGamers.io
Ronin's Waypoint keyless wallet will be fully sunset when its final grace period closes at 15:00 UTC on October 31, 2026, after which assets left in these wallets may become inaccessible.
The clock is running out on Ronin Waypoint, with eight days remaining until its permanent shutdown. According to the network, the Waypoint migration has entered its final stage: a grace period that concludes on October 31, 2026, at 15:00 UTC (11:00 ET, 22:00 in Vietnam). After this deadline, Ronin Waypoint will be fully sunset, and the migration process will be complete.
Ronin emphasized that only users who have already reported migration problems on X, Discord, or through a support ticket are covered by this grace period. The network has urged affected users to submit any outstanding issues as soon as possible to receive assistance.

Migration Requirements
The grace period does not provide additional time for new migrations. Its purpose, as Ronin explained, is to give users time to resolve any outstanding issues raised through official channels. Anyone encountering errors should report them at support.roninchain.com, providing either a wallet address with a screenshot or a transaction hash/failure message.
People using seed phrase or hardware wallets are unaffected by this change. For issues related to in-game progression or soulbound assets in specific Ronin games, users should contact the respective game's development team directly.
Affected Accounts
Every account set up through Waypoint must migrate, including MPC wallets, keyless wallets, and social login accounts on the chain. Affected users have two options: Ronin Stash, which maintains email and social login functionality, or a standard Ronin Wallet that uses a seed phrase for enhanced security.
Migration is not automatic. Axie Infinity specifically warned players that "your assets stay in your Waypoint wallet until you transfer them" and cautioned that "Assets left in a Waypoint wallet may become inaccessible" after the shutdown.
Axie Infinity players face an additional step: migrating their bAXS and badges separately on App.axie, which requires a seed phrase wallet linked to their Axie account. This migration is irreversible once signed, as badges tied to assets move along with them and transfers cannot be undone.
Previous Deadline Extensions
Ronin first set a September 12 deadline for the Waypoint transition, explaining that keyless wallets were initially launched to help more people onboard into crypto. When that deadline passed, the network granted users "an additional 2 weeks" after some users requested extensions. The deadline was then moved to October 16 before being extended once more to the current October 31 cutoff.
The network has stressed the importance of acting promptly, as the final deadline is unlikely to be extended again. Users with Waypoint accounts are strongly encouraged to complete their migrations before the October 31 deadline to maintain access to their assets and accounts.
