Bitcoin ETFs From $1.8 Trillion Giant Franklin Templeton Get Nasdaq Nod
Franklin Templeton, a $1.8 trillion asset management giant, has received Nasdaq approval to list two new Bitcoin-focused ETFs that will convert U.S. stock dividends into Bitcoin exposure.
The two new products, Franklin US Equity Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF (FBEQ) and Franklin US Innovation Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF (FIBT), will differ from traditional Bitcoin ETFs by blending stock investments with a Bitcoin dividend reinvestment strategy. These ETFs will allocate 95% of their capital to U.S. equities while maintaining 5% in Bitcoin-related assets.
Unique Investment Strategy
Unlike conventional ETFs that reinvest dividends into additional shares, these innovative products will use dividend payments to increase Bitcoin exposure over time. The FBEQ will track large-cap U.S. companies, while FIBT will focus on innovation stocks, both with the Bitcoin DRIP feature.
Expanding Crypto Footprint
This move represents another step in Franklin Templeton's growing presence in the cryptocurrency sector. The investment firm already operates the Franklin Bitcoin ETF (EZBC), which has attracted approximately $335 million in net inflows since its inception.
