Girl accused of helping Russia kill Ukrainian soldiers with poison
Ukrainian police have detained a 17-year-old girl suspected of helping Russia's security services poison Ukrainian soldiers, resulting in two deaths.
The girl, who was not named, was arrested in Zhytomyr, west of Kyiv, after allegedly following instructions from a Russian handler in exchange for at least 5,000 hryvnias ($111). Police said she packaged deadly drugs and sent them to Ukrainian soldiers she contacted through Telegram.
According to police, the soldiers received packages with "free drugs" and were "instructed to take them on camera." They did not know that the capsules contained a lethal dose of methadone, resulting in two deaths in the Zhytomyr region.

Police identified other recipients of the packages, which "prevented four more murders" across the country. The girl is suspected of "aiding and abetting the premeditated murder of two people as part of a prior conspiracy" and "shipping drugs and psychotropic substances for the purpose of distribution."
