RoboParty RP1 (ROBOTO 01) – A full-stack open-source humanoid robot with up to 30 degrees of freedom
Shanghai-based RoboParty has introduced the RP1 (ROBOTO 01), an open-source humanoid robot designed for robotics research and embodied AI development.
The new robot stands 1.35 meters tall and is built around a Rockchip RK3588 processor, with the Pro model adding an Allwinner A733 processor and an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX development computing module.
It features in-house ROMOMO joint actuators with up to 160 N·m peak torque, interchangeable head modules, optional dexterous hands, and a 10Ah battery rated for up to three hours of operation.
A separate 480MHz MCU handles real-time motion control, while a dual-voltage battery system supports hot-swapping without shutting down the robot.
Open-source design
The robot is available in two configurations: the standard RP1 with 24 active degrees of freedom (DoF) and the RP1 Pro with 30 DoF.
