Ambire adds CoW Swap with MEV indicators and order checks
On October 22, 2026, Ambire announced CoW Swap is now available in its built-in Swap & Bridge interface, featuring intent-based execution and MEV protection indicators.
The integration brings intent-based execution and an MEV protection indicator to Ambire's wallet routing options. CoW joins Socket, Li.Fi and Uniswap in the existing route comparison system, with Ambire automatically selecting the most competitive available route while allowing manual provider selection.
When CoW is selected by the quote system, Ambire displays an MEV protection indicator on the route, allowing users to see which quote carries protection before signing. The wallet's custom translator verifies the CoW order hash and displays underlying order details, including tokens and amounts, giving signers visibility into what they're approving.
Route selection mechanics
Ambire describes its route selection as balancing exchange rate and expected execution time. Users can access the interface through the dashboard's Swap & Bridge icon or individual token options. After entering the token pair and amount, they can inspect alternatives to the initial quote by opening Select route.
The wallet notes that CoW becomes more relevant for larger or more complex swaps, while other providers may quote better for smaller trades. The announcement doesn't provide specific trade-size thresholds or comparative execution measurements to support this claim.
CoW settlement process
CoW's batch-auction protocol groups intents into batches and asks competing solvers to find execution routes. Solvers can use on-chain liquidity, private off-chain liquidity and match orders within the same batch. The auction selects a solver based on the price surplus offered to orders in the batch.
Orders trading the same token pair within a batch receive a uniform clearing price, limiting opportunities for value extraction through rearranged execution order. The protocol also supports peer-to-peer matching through Coincidence of Wants when opposing orders match directly.
The batch executes as a single transaction. CoW describes these mechanics as a defense against the price differences that searchers exploit when trades settle sequentially.
Fee structure and security
CoW describes its trades as gasless because users pay settlement fees in the token they sell, with no order fees for failed or cancelled orders. Ambire applies its standard Swap & Bridge fee of 0.5%, which can be reduced to 0% based on $stkWALLET holdings through balance-based tiers.
The tier updates automatically when the $stkWALLET balance reaches thresholds, with no minimum staking period required. Network gas and charges from third-party services may still apply. The integration includes a 30-minute quote validity period, particularly beneficial for Safe multisig users who need time to approve swaps.
CoW's security model includes order expiry dates and on-chain cancellation options to prevent exploitation of old approvals. Execution requires both contract approval and a signed order, with only solvers subject to slashing able to execute batch settlement.
